A veteran corporate lawyer, with over 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry, of which for
over 2 decades has been at the helm of affairs with Johnson & Johnson (J&J) and its subsidiaries as
General Counsel and a Member of the Management Board. His final service to J&J was as Executive
Vice President and General Counsel of Johnson & Johnson Limited.
Prior to J&J, Mr. Mallar worked with over 11 companies including Parke-Davis, Tata International
and Knoll Pharmaceuticals as a Law Counsel.
At present, Mr. Mallar is the Managing Partner of Mallar Law Associates LLP, whose clients include
J&J, Cole Palmer, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Indian Red Cross Society, Eureka Forbes Group to name a
few.
With many feathers in his hat, Mr. Mallar is also an active contributor to the education system.
Currently he is a guest faculty at Jamanalal Bajaj Institute of Management, ICFAI Business School,
S.P. Jain, Welingkar, Sydenham and Xavier’s Institute of Management.
As founder partner of Vitaline, Mr Pednekar, endeavours to ensure that Vitaline not only makes the best quality of products, but also that these products are affordable and accessible to the masses at large. It is with this conviction that he drives the work ethic at Vitaline Healthcare. Mr Pednekar leverages his decades of experience in manufacturing and production scale management to ensure seamless systems at Vitaline.
Mr Pednekar has spent 25 years in the manufacturing of world-class medical sutures for Johnson & Johnson Ltd. His company successfully manufactured Johnson & Johnson products, as per international standards, for local and international markets.
Working in the manufacturing sector since the early 1990’s, he began by supplying high skill labour to various industries. This led to a fruitful contract with Johnson & Johnson for manufacturing products required in the export plant. Building on this success, Mr Pednekar's firm was awarded the highly coveted opportunity of manufacturing sutures for Johnson & Johnson.
Mr Pednekar holds a degree in Economics and Management from the Sydenham college, Mumbai.
As a founding partner of Vitaline, Mr. Mallar sees his role as spearheading business strategies and Research & Development. For more than a decade, Mr Mallar has been in the business of manufacturing innovative plastic packaging for the pharmaceutical and food industry. He has over 20 years of first-hand experience in the warehousing, shipping and logistics industries.
His other enterprises include real estate projects in South-west India that cater to industrial, commercial and residential needs.
A Bachelor of Commerce from Sydenham College Mumbai, Mr. Mallar is an avid traveller. His keen interest in evolving technologies lends itself to Vitaline’s vision and growth-plan.
Graduated with B.Sc. (Hons.) from the esteemed University of Mumbai, followed by a Diploma in
Personnel Management from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mr. Khan comes with unmatched
category knowledge and experience.
He served M/s Johnson & Johnson, one of the most admired multinational healthcare companies, for 36 constructive years. Besides working in various departments ranging from Finance to Operation & Procurement even at the contract manufacturing site, Mr. Khan headed Plant HRD for 12 whole years. He played a crucial role in successful maintenance of Industrial relations in the plant,
implementing the Company’s VRS Scheme and is also renowned for his strength in Conflict Resolution and Creating a Team Building atmosphere.
Mr. Khan believes in giving back to society as much as he can. So as part of that noble thought, he is
also associated with Shurparaka Educational & Medical Trust, since its inception in 1984, as the
Secretary and helps manage their schools and colleges with over 4000 students.
Post retiring from J&J in 2013, Asim Khan’s entrepreneurial spirit got the better of him, and since
then he not only contributes by being part of the board of directors for Vitaline, but also runs a
successful enterprise that manufactures non-sterile, high quality catgut and caters to the healthcare
industry.
